Bengal Emta Coal Mines Ltd. |
A joint venture company of WBSEB,
WBPDCL & EMTA for coal mining of captive coal field for power stations of WBSEB
& WBPDCL. The Company was incorporated on February,1996 with Authorised Capital of Rs.
5 (five) Crores. In this joint venture company the equity shares of WBPDCL is 12% and of
WBSEB is 14% and the balance 74% is wuth the EMTA. The
Company has started coal mining operation and supplying of coal to power stations of WBSEB
& WBPDCL. |

Performance |
In the year 1998-99 the Company
despatched 1.78 Million tonnes of coal in 548 Rakes to WBSEB & WBPDCL. In the year
1999-2000 the Company despatched to 2.18 Million tonnes of coal in 679 Rakes to WBSEB and
WBPDCL |
